Thankyou the Blk Triangle website and letter is one of the most helpful things have seen for a long time. I love these brave folk who campaign so tirelessly on behalf of all of us

Wow Dave, that sumofus website is really cool! Kudos to you for doing so much good and campaigning on those issues and others. You have certainly re-inspired me although am very sorry that you had to go through such a loss of peace of mind.
I was really angry earlier. I sent off a strongly worded email and then somehow, I managed a bit of a walk, which as we all know, is a rare luxury, a good stomping walk to defuse all that adrenaline

after I gave up smoking 4 months ago, I took my stop smoking advisors advice & when I am furious I do “4/8/7 breathing”. Breathe in for four, hold four eight (if u can, I still dont have much of a lung capacity!) & breathe out REALLY loudly for seven. I was skeptical that summat so simple would work but it’s the fastest route to shoulder dropping, tension releasing, teeth unclenching instant relaxation I know.
Dave I dont know about you but hardly a day goes by these days when I am not either depressed or totally despairing of all the changes taking place around “reform”. Like you though, I have to act. Sometimes of course I do take it easy on myself and ignore newspapers/news but I catch headlines by accident or hear news snippets while channel surfing.
I really hope the stress of this hasnt exacerbated your pain Dave. Just wanted you to know I feel empathy. Sarah

    Hi Dave
I feel as if I understand what you are going through and I think it is absolutely admirably fantastic that you get involved with so many campaigns for the greater good. I have always been a fighter, although my confidence has diminished since the pain got worse but prior to this, if there was an injustice I would fight with every ounce of mental strength I had and keep going until there was a satisfactory result. I loathe injustice and I did read the article that you linked us to.
I would suggest writing directly to this man and really going into detail by explaining to him why you feel his points are so grossly unfair and how blinkered he is. I would not teach you to suck eggs but obviously you know that the more professionally the letter is scribed the greater the chances of it being taken notice of..You could also cc or copy every single organisation/publication involved in the printing of the article. You could copy it to the head honcho of the MPs department & have a vast list of CCs. U cd send it recordered delivery & sit back safe in the knowledge that everyone who is likely to have been complicit in writing & printing this somebody has read it…will continue next post as I think it cuts off if u type too much…

    Sherry,
My pain symptoms are sharp pain on one side of my lower back, I think it’s at the PSIS – where the pelvic bone meets the sacrum, and my pelvic bone sticks out a little here and frequently looks bruised. The pain is sharp on any slightest reaching forward motions, it is also brought on by sitting. The pain sometimes goes into my buttock and down the front of my thigh – however this referred pain is much less intense than the pain in the back. Also I generally have a lot of aching in my lower back and sometimes legs, and due to my restricted movements from the pain over the years I now have a very stiff back.
I’ve been doing some research into the SI joint and have found a very informative web site which you – and others – might like to have a look at. Beware it will take some reading – there’s loads of technical papers – but very interesting. The site is http://www.kalindra.com.
Something I discovered from this site is that a false negative can be obtained from SIJ injections. The injection apparently needs to be placed in the tissues surrounding the joint, not in the joint capsule itself. If the injection is placed inside the joint capsule, and the capsule is not torn (so it can’t leak out), then the fluid does not get to the surrounding tissues, and will therefore give a false negative! If you haven’t seen your consultant yet maybe you’d like to ask him about this.
Good luck, let me know how it goes, and happy reading!

John – Was that 3 times into the same joint, or did they try other joints? Regards, Sarah.
