    Hi All,

I hope you all have a high-pleasure, low-pain Christmas and New Year! And thanks, Jan, for all your hard work getting this new site up and running.

    Cheers!

    Hi euni,

Well done you! Quite an adventure! It sounds as if you’ve thought ahead and have given yourself time to prepare and, after you’ve enjoyed the day, to recover. And you’re going to get such a huge welcome from Clancy when you get back from this mini holiday.

    Enjoy your Christmas!

    Hi Sue,

I know just how you’re feeling having just got over a major flare up caused by a UTI. Yesterday I awoke and I was back to my ‘normal’ pain levels, which I can just about cope with! So hang on in there, try and take things easier – be kind to yourself. Yes, do tell us how you’re doing and enjoy your Christmas.

    All the best, Annie x

    Hi Mouse,

That sounds a bit weird doesn’t it! But there was a time when it was thought that removing metal fillings from teeth cured m.e.!

    Hi Ritch,

It sounds as if you’ve been through a lot during your 26 years. That’s tough for you. It also sounds as if you are a very enquiring and determined person! I do hope that eventually you can find out whether you are right about CMT.

Have you been offered physiotherapy for your ‘lack of lumbar lordosis’? Maybe it would strengthen the muscles in your spine.

Do keep in touch and let us know how you get on. And you can ramble on just when you feel like it on this site! We’ve all got problems so we all understand.

    All the best. Annie x

Yes, katypeach, it gets us all down at times, but it’s good to know that there are plenty of people here who understand just what we’re going through and are willing to help us out when we ask for help. Hope you’re having a good day today. Annie x

    Hi Steve,

All the best with the op and your recovery. Maybe if you take time to recover fully, you could be back on the ice. I do hope so, but if not, then there is a group of Scrabble players on this site who would take you on, but we dont need a referee! You’d be very welcome! Good luck, Steve.

    Hi Simon,

So sorry to hear about your headaches. They must make life difficult for you. I just wondered whether any of your other medication could be causing them. Have you discussed this possibility with your GP? It might be worth a try.

    All the best, Annie x

Ah i see. That’s not good. But it sounds as though you will be dealt with very promptly, which must be a comfort to you. So yes, I guess you will keep your hospital within easy reach. Hope the scan goes well.

    Hi Steve,

Glad that things are getting sorted so quickly for you. What exactly is CES? Presumably its something spinal?

    Hi Doreen,

So sorry that you’ve been having such a lot of pain. It must be awful for you. I do hope that you’re feeling better this morning.

I remember that you like your tennis. Are you following the Davis Cup this weekend? It’s France v Switzerland.

Hope you have an easier day today.

    Hi Hope,

Maybe you could suggest that your GP checks out the NHS site online! There’s lots of good info on there. Can’t believe that your GP admits that he hasn’t a clue.

    Keep us posted.

    Hi pbman,

I’ve never used cymbalta, but I think if I were you I would ring your gp and tell him/her about these new symptoms. I realize that you may have to wait until Monday but, in the meantime, you might find that your local pharmacist could help you with some advice.

    Hi Hope,

I’m so sorry that you’ve found yourself in this position, but if you look at Lorraine’s post a little way down the list, you’ll find that sadly you are by no means the only one.

Yes, I would show your physiotherapist your bruises. My physio told me not to do the exercises if they hurt at the time or if you hurt more afterwards.

I wish you good luck with it all. Keep us posted.
