    Hi All,

What is the usual dose of amitriptyline do people take for a) sleeplessness and b) nerve pain relief?

I’ve only just started taking amitriptyline and I’m taking 50mg at night.

I think you’re right Astra. Chloe said that the device worked better on acute pain. But being a bit of a cynic – maybe acute pain would’ve improved on its own.

Such a shame it hasn’t worked for any of us.

    Keep on trying!

I’ve just started week 6. I really can’t see how there’ll be any difference in after final week. X

I’m giving up too. It’s a shame but it’s not made a bit of difference to my pain levels. I wonder if we’ll feel worse when we stop using it?! – Or better?!

    Hi All,

I’m feeling in more pain, but I’m sure, like Lee says, it’s the sudden cold, damp, dull weather. I certainly haven’t felt any improvement in pain levels using the device. I wish!

Is everyone using the carbon-type pads instead of the super-sticky ones?

I much preferred the sticky ones as I find that the other ones let the cuff slip and slide about.

    Hi Astra,

A couple of us on this site have tried CBD. It takes a lot of experimenting as to which colour oil you use as some are for calming you and others can ‘wake you up’.

Sadly it didn’t work for us, but it’s definitely worth a try! So good luck if you do decide to give it a try.

There’s a very good firm in Suffolk that sells very safe CBD products. They’re very helpful and do a next day delivery.

    Hi All,

Interesting to hear how we’re all getting on.

I’m sticking to ‘the rules’ and wearing it around my ankle for the three hours in the evening infront of the TV. So I’m not finding it difficult or intrusive.

But I’m disappointed as I’m in more pain now than I was when I started using it. It’s very tempting to chuck the whole experiment! But I’ll try not to.

Hope we get some benefits from all this.

    Hi Christine,

Is it me or does this article scroll very slowly across the screen, or can it be read as a whole page?

    Sounds interesting.

    Hi Christine,

I haven’t noticed any difference in my mood. I do hope you’re feeling happier soon.

It’ll be interesting to see whether you feel better after the trial.

    Hi All,

How’re you all doing with the device?

I’m sticking rigidly to the ‘rules’ and still using it on level 1 for 3 hours a day.

So far I haven’t noticed any difference in my pain levels. I still have good days and bad days which is normal for me.

Hope someone is feeling some benefits.

The sticky pads manage to stick like limpets, so I’m glad I put the device around my ankle as I think I’d have taken skin off my upper arm! X
