Hi Ray, ive had 2 lots of spinal surgery, and like all on here it’s a 50/50 chance you take. my advice is depends on how much pain your in before the op whether you can cope without having surgery, as they never really gave me a choice because it was a choice being paralysed or walking and was in horrific pain and just wanted it to stop. but was left still in pain but manageable most of the time . but once done it can cause other problems as other joints can fail due to the stress on other joints some time down the line. and can cause arthritis around the operation site after some time as well. sorry to put a downer on it all but that’s my experience. but did have fractured/ dislocated pelvis as well. it’s your choice at the end of the day. take care and best wishes whatever you decide.
