Sorry to hear you have to have surgery.

One hospital I had several ops in had a ‘priority patient’ system which meant you didn’t have to sit around all day if you were in for day surgery you’d go to theatre early. That was great for me as sitting on hospital bed or chair for a few hours would be awful.

However, when recently in another hospital they didn’t have this system and I waited from 7a.m until 3.30 p.m. in the waiting room on a hard chair, I was really suffering and in fact was glad to have the general anaesthetic to give me some pain free time.

Worth asking about anyway. Hope all goes well for you (and you Annie when it’s your turn!) x
