Thanks for listening to my moan. Having suffered my first prolapsed disc 27 years ago I can relate totally to your post/s. My lumbar disc prolapsing has been the worst pain and effect on my mobility. I too feel that there will come a point where surgery is worth the risk. I have a friend who has had a failed op a year ago and is now in worse pain so its not something to rush into. I also know someone whose op revolutionised their life although 5 years later another disc has prolapsed and they are back to square one.
I had come to terms with my limitation ( I am also partially sighted) and agree it is very hard to do but finding it harder to accept my lack of mobility again this year! thanks for your info on drugs etc.
