Yes you do have to lie on your tummy but I am sure if you explain it’s your worst position, that they will do all they can to make you comfortable. There must be many people with the same problem. If you are that worried you could maybe phone the Pain clinic and explain, before the day of the injection, so they already know when you go on the day. Yes I should ask for sedation because once that takes effect you will be back on the ward before you know it!
