HI Eunnan, I too had and have Cauda equina, had emergency decompression op after six weeks of agony, in hospital a month, then got infection in spine undiagnosed for six months all of which led to me not moving from my bed for two years and extreme pain.

I am a wheelchiar user, can walk few steps with elbow crutches but arthritus etc led a fusion op a few years ago which did help a lot.

Anyway we are here for you, it will take at least a year before you will know whether all nerve damage is permanent or not.

Rest rest rest only do exercises physios give you when ready, did I say rest??
