Thanks to everbody for really useful advice which I always get on this site.
Regarding the TENS I had emailed the airline after writing my thread, and they have replied saying it can be carried in the cabin but not used during flight in case it interferes with aircraft flight systems.
This is a real blow and I am wondering what to do now as it changes the possibility of me flying. I would take wedge-cushion and lumbar roll but it isnt enough to help me for that length of time sitting.
