I know where you are coming from. When I was forced to admit I needed a wheelchair I was devastated but I soon realised that my life was severely restricted without one. I wasn’t going out at all for fear of not being able to get back again so in fact my chair opened more doors for me than I could ever imagine.
However I quickly changed over to a scooter because physically wheeling the chair was doing my neck and shoulders in and I hated being dependent on others to push me.
