Hi Laura, I was Fused from S1 to L2 with a Laminectomy above that nearly 35 years ago. I have severe nerve damage effecting both feet and left knee. I had a total of 9 operations and the only way I can live a normal life is with a cocktail of drugs but for the nerve pain, have ended up on Zomorph (Morphine Sulphate) 180 mg per day – this has made my life bearable although not completely getting rid of the pain, I can get on top of it. Gabapentin (100mg) has recenty been added because of more nerve damage during an Angiogram after a heart attack. Hope something here helps.
