I have regular colonoscopies because my sister died from bowel cancer. The medication I had for my first colonoscopy was Glycoprep. This involved drinking three litres of the mixture over a period of about three hours. Since then I have had Pico Prep, which i thought was much better. My gastroenterolgist always does them under anaesthetic and I have never found them too unpleasant. I know some of the specialists here still use Fleet.
