hi Amanda,
I have tried turning the stimulation low but on me it is only effective when the sensation is intense it dosent help me at all when it is on low for some reason.
Jan i couldnt get on with a tens machine not because it made my pain worse but because my skin was very sensitive to the electrodes instead of a tingle i experienced a sensation like needles pricking the skin which was more painful than a pleasent tingle.
Like Rob said your best bet is to speak to either your pain clinic or the Guy Rob mentioned as it has to be worth asking about it
