A chiropractor once diagnosed me with this. I had various investigations for my problem and was diagnosed by an NHS consultant as having IBS. I then contacted a nutritionist from ION (http://www.ion.ac.uk/) who did a great job in devising a ‘safe’ diet for me until things sorted themselves out and the gut became more stable – it took a long time but I can now eat more or less what I want to without disastrous consequences!
