Not sure what is meant by “day surgery” but the trial is completed in a day and then followed up by daily visits. The main implantation I find hard to understand as it is general anaesthetic which means the day before, the op day and recovery whatever that takes. Just beware as most trials that are then ongoing to implatation have a poor success rate. In Medtronics case it is also against their guidelines. With regard to IPG placement it normally sits on the muscle and if that is not possible normally it would be referred to a different surgeon. I have only ever heard of this in re siting. All I can add is ask them..its your spine and the disaster is if it goes wrong.
