I had my scs put in many many years ago when they were fairly new to this country and mine was put in purely for back pain and it does help my back pain. they are now more commomly done for the leg pain as its very difficult to place the electrodes on tiny nerves and be able to get stimulation in the back. I do get a lot of stimulation in my legs as well i cant get it just in my back but it definitely does help my back pain or it did before the electrodes broke. i couldnt get on with a tens as my skin is very sensitive and the pulse from that felt like needdles digging in the sensation from the scs is a much nicer sensation. All i can say is its worth giving it a try xx
