Hi Bazzer,
It goes without saying that your first port of call should be medical advisors. My experience of nerve pain is that at times it came go crazy at times and effect the parts of my body not in constant nerve pain. I have non traumatic spinal cord injury/lesion at T12/L1. There are a bunch of nerves around there that can cause allodynia above and below the level of injury. I don’t know where your spine problems are but I can get nerve pain and sensations above my waist from time to time. I spoke to pain consultant at Kings and Walton centre and was told the nerve sensations like allodynia and pins and needles etc can occur above the level of injury but not may GP’s are aware of this. I hope it is subsiding now and you get the chance to enjoy this lovely day.
