I doubt very much if they will make a decision before Friday. The average time for decisions on DLA is now 39 weeks which is disgusting since they stop your money for all of that time. You do get a nice big lump sum in back payments if you win but it’s no help at the time. If they haven’t yet decided whether to reconsider, go to appeal or to tribunal, ring them tomorrow and say you want it to go straight to tribunal- your choice not theirs. They were shilly shallying over my appeal but when I told them I wanted to go straight to tribunal they miraculously made their decision within 2 days!
