You have received good advice already from Julie and Jan.

It is important to explain how you are feeling to your GP so she/he can get your pain relief right for you. Unfortunately sometimes this is a frustrating experience of trial and error over extended periods of time until you find the right combination for you. If you work with your Drs I am sure you will get there. Maybe you need so counselling/talk therapy along the way; this is something you could mention to your gp as well. Keep on keeping on, you will get there!
