Sorry, that was bitchy, but I have had far too much exposure to people who prey on those in need.

Like nutrition, counselling type therapies do not enjoy the same legal and regulatory protection as more mainstream medicine.

If you set yourself up as a ‘doctor’, and you harm someone, you have a lot of free time in jail on your hands.

On the other hand, any man and his cat can set himself up as an ’emotional therapist’ and inflict their own erroneous beliefs on other people.

Besides, if it were possible to think yourself better, did it not occur to her that you might have done it by now. I mean, come on.
