I am so sorry you had to go through this. This kind of thing makes me mad! It is sad that there are such narrow minded people working pain clinics in this day and age.

I had a really horriffic experience which scarred me for years; mucked up the way I thought about myself and my pain because I was told that I had created my pain in my head.Made to feel like some kind of hypochondriac-later I was diagnosed with serious genetic joint condition and several broken bones- and have now had several surgeries.

Honestly, I think it should be a pre-requisite for these people to have had some experience of chronic pain, either directly or someone close to them, before they are even interviewed for the job.

She clearly has no idea at all. You have to feel sorry for people like that. The saddest thing about it is that she probably thinks that she is right, and carries that view around with her all the time. It is SO annoying I know,

You ought to complain as well, otherwise it will only happen to other people. The scariest thing is that if she convinces people it is in their heads, and it is actually a serious or even life threatening condition.. that in the meantime is not getting treated….so wrong.

Ooh this makes me so cross!!!!
