Thanks both of you and happy Christmas. I shall investigate the sponge on a stick which sounds just the thing. Managing at the moment with husband (best and easiest) and tissue tied on end of chopstick – OK but not the best. Was considering paintbrush. At least such things make us inventive, and I find the same about getting the stuff on your hands even with washing them really well afterwards…. I am still hoping it will help my neuropathic symptoms – has anyone else had any luck in this respect? Burning on back has stopped luckily though not on hands….
