I came off a high daily dose of Oxycontin but very very gradually, please make sure that you take advice for your pain consultant or whoever is prescribing the medication. In my experience some GP’s tend to be a bit gun ho about titrating down so please take is steady.
I am now on Tramadol slow and quick release and I can vary my dose from 400 mg a day to none (I just like to test this occasionally – masochist tenancies!)
