Ahh, now here’s the rub! I have also just filled out the S-LANSS questionnaire – and I scored 8, and was informed that I do not suffer from neuropathically-based pain!

Now anyone who has read of my case knows that I do – and the only real conclusion is that the S-LANSS database is not complete and is inadequate in its reach and therefore unreliable.
In other words, it is not equipped to deal with an amputee suffering from phantom-limb pain and a brachial plexus lesion (and massive neuropathic pain). This is the dangerous part of diagnosis by proxy. These dangers become noticeable when completing DLA forms or trying to give reliable feedback to doctors. They are no substitute for direct medical examinations.
