I take Amitriptyline too for nerve pain, I was told it is suppose to help with urinary urgency (given al low dose for bedwetting in children) but I still have urgency and sometimes have retention problems. I agree with the great info and advice Di has suggested. I sympathise, it is embarrassing and affects quality of life. I would mention it to your GP if keeps happening. All the best.
