That looks a bit more than doomy gloomy to me Liz as to get passed and authorisation wont be a 5min jaunt to an embassy. Narcotics are almost all painkillers and many have fallen foul of the arab states. Personally I would seek information from the Country involved and seek written permission….without I would not travel unless prepared for the long stay. It is not just arab states this applies of course. Their Countries and THEIR rules and legislation applies. Our doctors are not qualified to judge.
